I like how all parts in the composition and design support the shape of Lily of the Valley ("kielo" in Finnish), like this flower pattern in the background - it is a very nice idea! Aspects like these tells that artist knows what he/she is doing; no unnecessary stuff, only things that support each other.
As mentioned by other viewers, colours in this painting are nice and well controlled; Lily of the valley represents subtle beauty. I doubt if brighter colours would fit this scene? Mood would change, at least.
