Nocturne

This is an interesting piece. The atmosphere you've created is sort of dark and gloomy, and yet it is not without a sense of lightness... and I think this is especially due to the way you've portrayed the man in the illustration. His expression is calm and his eyes are very soulful. His whole demeanor exudes a sense tranquility that casts out the uneasiness that would otherwise be the forefront feeling present in such a depiction. It actually reminds me of a quote from a book: "So we stood hand in hand like two children, and there was peace in our hearts for all the dark things that surrounded us." A very poignant and unusual artwork. Splendidly done!
